India Post GDS Recruitment January 2025 :  Age Limit as on 03/03/2025

• Minimum  Age : 18 Years.
• Maximum Age : 40 Years.
• Age Relaxation Extra as per India Post GDS Recruitment Rules Schedule January 2025.

 

 

Educational Qualification

• 10th Standard Pass from a recognized board with passing marks in Mathematics and English.
• Knowledge of Local Language: Candidate must have studied the local language up to Class 10.
• Other Qualifications:
• Basic computer knowledge
• Knowledge of cycling
• Adequate means of livelihood

 

Job Responsibilities

1. Branch Postmaster (BPM)

• Manage postal operations and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) services.
• Handle marketing and promotion of postal services.
• Arrange accommodation for Branch Post Office at own cost before engagement.
• Reside in the post village.

2. Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)

• Assist BPM in postal operations and customer services.
• Sell stamps, deliver mail, and handle IPPB transactions.
• Reside within the delivery jurisdiction of the respective BO.

3. Dak Sevak

• Deliver mail, sell stamps, and manage transactions.
• Work in sorting offices and assist Postmasters.
• Reside within the jurisdiction of the respective Post Office.

 

Salary Structure (TRCA Slab)

• BPM: ₹12,000 – ₹29,380 per month
• ABPM/Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470 per month
• Other Benefits: DA, GDS Gratuity, Service Discharge Benefit Scheme

 

 

Selection Process

• Merit-based Selection: Based on marks obtained in the 10th standard.
• No Exam Required.

 

Document Verification & Joining Process

• Shortlisted candidates will be notified via SMS/email.
• Attend document verification at the designated office within 15 days.
• Provide original documents, including:
• 10th Marksheet
• Identity Proof
• Caste/PwD/EWS Certificate (if applicable)
• Medical Certificate
• Successfully verified candidates will receive a provisional engagement offer.
• Complete pre-engagement formalities and training within 30 days.
